Purchased this Maryanna dollhouse because not only is it beautiful but in the photos it looked well made. It’s expensive and I thought “well you get what you pay for” definitely not in this case.
Came to us with one of the doors hanging off. And the wood splitting in places. I emailed the company and asked for a return because I wasn’t truly happy with the quality. They denied my request for return and gave me a 50 percent refund only. I tried to make lemons with lemonade and we tried to fix the door. This dollhouse started falling apart. The windows popped out and fell apart. The hinges and screws are very small. I am fearful of even opening this myself it’s so fragile.
Also, we noticed upon further inspection that the hinges have been moved several times. It looks as though it was falling apart and knowingly fixed several times. This tells me I was knowingly sent a defective product. I try to buy from small businesses to support people trying to support their families. This was going to be my daughter’s Christmas gift- we don’t have a lot of money and we try to buy high quality items a little at a time. So I start way early. I can’t give her this for Christmas. Knowing it’s going to fall apart when she plays with it. I’m so upset. But I just want to be done with this whole thing. I don’t wish to be contacted further. I just want to warn people who may buy this for their child to play with.
It’s beautiful and if you need this as a prop for photography or just to have for aesthetic photos then it is probably going to meet your needs but I would not purchase this with the intention for it to be played with. You will be sorely disappointed. Also please read their policies thoroughly as they don’t accept returns unless damaged and even then in my experience they still don’t.
